Are We Prepared?

We sit watching television show after television show; reading book after book; having discussions with one person after another, and the common theme is as humans we can’t be trusted.

Are we prepared?

We continue to see great relationships as protecting another from the truth, just to apologize when the truth surfaces. We claim we lie to our Love ones because it is best. If it is best what are we apologizing for? Their pain or our inability to provide choice. Why don’t we believe that people can handle honesty? Is it because their eyes fill with water in the moment or because they give you that empty stare of shock or is it because we think so little of ourselves that we believe they would leave because we would? Whatever the reason we continue to paint the art of lying as a masterpiece of Love.

Are we prepared?

To look at the people we care about the most and share our darkest thoughts, our greatest faults, our everything. Asking them to Love us for our ability not to make the same past mistakes, our capability to think dark but remain light, our dedication to devoting every truth we have to offer. But, we continue to be scared of the outcome in our heads disregarding our hearts.

Are We Prepared?

For relationships with Love as a faith and not an emotion, words, actions but a combination of all three working in sync. Pledging a life of transparency, patience, and selflessness. Let’s see Love as maturing into togetherness. Not this search for finding yourself in other but defining a part of who you are with others. Love is a Group Journey, so if we aren’t prepared to merge, stop saying “I Love You”.

We Are not Prepared to relate until common ground is the top priority, we are having honest discussions, and we are searching for the truth in each other.

Are We Prepared?

Or are we going continue to believe deception is preparation?
